The poll say's 50 / 50 ! If your car is a tidy example then flog it and start with a flat front, if its tatty then chop it about! Nose cone's are top, but a propper flat front & arch's is def the way forward! Think about the bonnet that never lookes quite right & the cone that sits a bit funny, drives me mad! It has to be your choice! It'll be you looking at it sat in you garage.... Just dont hack up a tidy RS2 !
Thats my two pennies worth :-)

            keep it snooty,

if you want a flattie and arch's (fair enough there gorgeous ) do it but not to that one, just get a clean boggo mk2 and build it exactly to your spec, seems a shame to lose another droopy one

at the end of the day Paul it's yours and you should do whatever you wish with it, but you did ask

7.5 x 13 RS 4 spokes and a plastic fantastic Series X body kit if you really need to hack away the bodywork !

Flat front and Forest arches are for rallying only

If you going competitive then fair comment but if only for street use then standard or Series X

(and yes I still have your plastic thingy in stock)

I say go for the Series X look and be done with it !

                Cone or arch

I'd keep the cone Paul . Plenty of good std MK2 shells still available if you fancy arches.

I am seriously torn between building my car standard RS2000 or building something individual, flat front , arched etc but just road trim to my liking.

I know ultimately the decision comes down to myself but I honestly don't know on this one.

                        Cheers, Paul
I would suggest that if the cars a real minter keep it nice and original,as original genuine RS cars will always be worth more money than project cars which can be just too specialised and only worth a fraction of a proper RS.Unless being used for serious rallying.

If you would like a project just buy an 1100 CC pop and bolt on a few repro parts and then it call it a Mexico/RS2K.There are so few of the genuine RS cars anything with a side stripe will sell once you decide your bored of it.These cars are not individual as its all been done before and once done badly there called boy racer cars.
At the end of the day not all owners are the same which is good as we wouldn't see top mods like the wide arched MK1's which when done properly do look good in my opinion.
                        Good luck its your decision.

I love the RS 2000 pin stripes on a arched car, but a droop fitted properly (as someone else put it's got to fit right) is the way to go if its a solid car....

                              Droop for me..
