  • guide price for pinto reqd

    Hi chaps

could someone offer a guide price of what my pinto could be worth, i know its a bit subjective what with condition and everything but i need a resonable spead of figures as looking at swapping for something else.

    spec is
    2 ltr RS 2000 pinto
stage 3 big valve head, new followers and springs
    FR32 kent fast road cam
    lightened and ballanced bottom end
    lightened flywheel
janspeed 4 branch exhaust manifold.... brand new, less that 2 weeks old
has done 6k since full rebuild
currently running on twin 45 webers, but these not included.

any guidance would be appreciated, especially if recieved before early evening tonight.

    ta

Would probably cost £1500 - £1800 to build depending if the right bits or the cheap bits were used. So 2nd hand if healthy I would expect you could ask £600 - £700. Although I would expect that you would need to give some sort of reasonable guarantee that it would last a reasonable amount of time. If sold as seen then worth little more than a scrap yard pinto, £250 - £300.

Best of luck with the sale.

          hi brian
i was thinking along those same lines...... sump/bellhousing/head/mounts/manifolds etc may be worth more split

thanks those who replied, was in the sort of ball park figure i had inmind.
