Hodsons FORD of Retford

Have any of you guys heard of hodsons of retford ?
My cars reg plate has that dealer on it ,i was wondering if they were the supplying dealer.
First part of my reg is OFE, not sure if thats retford or not
Were they a RS dealer ?

I never did ask for the details myself, I think it came from Cambridgshire somewhere but Retford is in Notts

Hodgsons of Retford were a significant RS Dealer in the day. Involved in supporting cars in rallying - although I can't remember who. May have supported one of the Mexicos in the Mexico Rally Championship. I don't think you had to be asssociated with an RS dealer to do the Mex championship the way the Fiestas had to be but most were.

supplying dealer for ofe was in gainsborough brian, which is the next town to retford.

My old Nat Day winning MKII Mex - XNU991S -came from there in 1978 - I had the original bill of sale and number plates when I got it.
