I suppose that would depend on your insurance company, I know AON will take the RSOC's word as far as agreed values, whether they will pay out ot not remains to be seen.

                          Just wondered that was all.

As far as i am concerned i would want it replacing and know how much that would cost cause its never gonna be for sale....

It will always be difficult to value a highly modified car like yours as I bet its extremly hard to find something for sale on a like-for-like basis.

What you need to say to yourself is if the worse happened and your car was stolen, how much would it cost for you to replace it with something you will be happy with (mk2 or otherwise) and go from there.

Valuations will always be dodgy ground as one man's pride and joy is another man's worst nightmare.

If you can prove what you have spent then take into account wear & tear the insurance company might offer you near your outlay.

Best to keep every receipt for all you items in a nice folder and as you go inform your insurance company, that way they have no come back to say that wasn't listed.
