does anybody have the number for them direct, want to buy one of their "seconds" if they have any or does anybody have one for sale

  • #2
Spoke to them today, no seconds available. Will offer a discount for orders placed at the NEC, probably free delivery by the sounds of it. Not much

Go for the Carcoon Vin, better fans and filtration. Also you get the battery conditioner with it as well.

forget carcoon, you want one with a frame to make it easy to get in and out single handedly

Have had both the Cair O Port and the Carcoon. IMO the carcoon is far superior.

carcoon......... unzip the cover fold onto the roof ..........easy , the most fun you will have in under a minute ............, i'm working on the car almost every day and its no problem taking it off and on, i don't think it takes up as much room eithier as its a bubble its very flexible if you don't have much room , the battery charger is superb too, car starts first time every time , honest , with the framed one you can work inside it doing small jobs as it has a door

i think the air-chamber does a good job, simple zipped front door, up and over, two side doors which line up with the car doors, two powerful fans that with a good seal really bulge the thing out. However, after approx 15 months both fans have packed up within a fortnight of each other. They have both been replaced FOC due to a "dodgy batch". I also visited Matlins the electrical people where i bought a duplicate fan for £4.99. I asked the Hamilton guy how much he would charge for another one of his, he said £25. When pointing the difference out to him, he did say the £5 one wouldn,t last, this is yet to be proven as i,m using one of his new ones and my £5 one, both doing well, and Worthers is snug as a bug in a beige rug

                              Carcoon offered me a new Size 4 for £250 + £16 postage and Cair-o-Port want £275 delivered.

Cair-o-Port say you can put the car away wet in there's and they say you cant in the carcoon, is that right

Not got alot of room, just worry about that Zip and scratches, buffty rules
