It's just if you look at page 95 of Oct07 Classic Ford there is a picture of a Harrier and when you study it closely it has the small "passenger side " door mirror on the right hand side and the large remote mirror on the left hand side.. So either this car is LHD or the photo is reversed in some way.. I would be keen to hear your thoughts!!!sigpic

No, us continentals did have a Mk2 1600 Sport though with a 90 BHP or so X-flow.Originally posted by WIJ11 View PostFolks, can anyone advise if Ford ever built a left hand drive Escort Harrier??
Thanks Iain.
No 1800 LHD road cars either Dave; there were a couple of LHD RS cars with a BD engine but they were modified RS2 's just as the later Rothmans cars.Originally posted by Dave1800BDA View Postwhat about 1800s any lhd road cars

Dave, no they were all rallycars. The RS1800 wasn't introduced over here so even if you imported one and converted it to LHD it would be a Ford Escort after it got approval from the authorities.Originally posted by Dave1800BDA View Postwere these road rs2 cars leon, have info on lhd 18s, but no real proof
Local rallydriver Henk Vossen drove several Mk2 BD's in the early 80's with Dutch license plates. But they were RS2's who got the GP4 treatment at David Sutton's .
So if anyone says he/she has got a genuine LHD RS1800 let me know !
