getting arrested in KIEV in 1985 and being taken away by the KGB and yes they did have the long leather coats and soft hats ,and being bailed by the chairman and manager of CELTIC F.C..my only crime was having the badge of a russian general on my fur hat that i swapped for a pair of jeans.flew home first class with the full first team sqaud and got free beer all the way home.met one of the directors a few year ago at a boxing match in glasgow and he remebered it well but made me tell the whole story to his friends

i had tea and buscuits in my house with reg holdsworth off
coronation street. he came to buy a caddilac off my dad
to use for personal appearances.he was right into american cars,
and wrote his last one off when he fell asleep on the m6 and went
down the embankment.he drove up from manchester in a little
yellow mini that overheated all the way up.i filled up his radiator for
him before he left again.
and yes, he was exactly as he was on the telly, a little dippy
to say the least.
