    hi all
    i am in a bit of a quandry , i have mint mk1 shell that has never had the rear arches done or need them doing mint spotwelds all the way through but i fancy a bigwing , but i dont know if i can bring myself to cut such a lovely set of original arches out .
    what are your thoughts , bigwing or keep her flat sided ?.

    i have just done a deal with a freind of mine to buy his mk1 shell, that will be big wing all the way. should get it next week and will get some pics up.going to put a 2850cc american pinto in it.

            If you fancy a big wing now, then you will always fancy one. The feeling never goes away lol.

            It may be too much of a sacrifice to chop a perfectly decent shell up though . Perhaps look for another shell which you won't mind abusing.?

            However, if you do decide to do it, there are lots of people who are after big wings that would snap your hand off once it is done nicely.

              Had the same thoughts about arching my current project , couldn't bring myself to butcher the rear quarters .......

                Don't chop a decent shell, keep the arches flat, can always chop rusty arches out for big wings.

                      its only a bit of metal, get the grinder to it, less metal to rust then, as Alminera says, the hankering never goes away
