i had a graphite grey skater about 8 years ago,and loved it ! until i went to brake. (had quite afew scarrey moments).
hasnt to say i sold it on after about a year,it actually ended up in a tree just outside billericay.
i then bought a series 1 turbo,another nice car..but you carnt beat the mk1s and 2s for proper rs,s. in my eyes.
enjoy it glynn but give yourself plenty of braking space.and please dont follow me.

Lots of myths and rumours, dont know if anyone is 100% certain of the truth

Came from the factory as white but the 1st owner wanted a Grey S1 so the dealer had it fully bare shell sprayed at new. Doing the resto we havent found a trace of white so was a fairly detailed job. Car was on the scene for a few years then got stripped down for an underside resto, mid resto they got bored and the car changed hands, then changed hands again and again, lost more and more bits as it passed hands. I eventually bought her last year (2nd time I tried to buy her) as a rolling shell minus engine, interior etc etc and have spent the last year getting parts together to rebuild. AP Motorsport has been doing the assembly work for me cause I aint got a clue what goes where will be slightly modified when she is finished next month

Thats the story though that the only s1 to be sprayed from the factory a different colour is Dianas one(hence shwartz on vin plate).
Strange that you couldnt find white anywhere on yours though

There was also a blue S1 in "Cats Eyes" an '80s female cop show, Leslie Ash used to drive it I believe.

there were 2 black ones that came from the factory that had schwartz on the chassis plates 1 was lady Dianas and there were 2 cats eyes cars originally
