              the is a 185 block ie 18 insted of a 20.200.205.202 block for a 2ltr

                185 was the casting type for the early pinto block 205 were for later casting usually found in injection cars sierras and capris 2,0s etc also used for the cosworth 2wd (not RS500) 200 block was a thick block which had thicker webbing in the bottom of the block this was used on 4x4 cossie lumps as far as I am aware these numbers were the casting design and nothing to do with the block capacity and 185 was and early casting mould but could be wrong i suppose my old non-custom had the same numbers in the casting and that was a 2.0 ltr here are a couple more pics

                  i thought the number was to do with the size ie 165 was a 1.6.185 was 1.8 and a 20 was a 2ltr

                  20 were carb 2 ltr
                  205 was injection


                  is this an old feature car from classic ford mag?

                          Got a few peeps coming to look at her next week or so tbh but this car I feel has my name all over it tbh and if it is as good as the pics in the flesh then I cant wait to pass cash over and get her home
