Anyone on hear been to Gumbet in Turkey, if so what was it like, as i am going a week tomorrow, any info appreciated

would not go back if you gave me it for nothing get used to walking down the high st and every coont trying to drag you into there shop, every ****in Restaurant tout asking you if you want to try the food, morning day and night for 2 weeks and all the men eyeing up the woman, nearly got into a fight with one of the coonts for touching the daughters legs when we walked bye.

never found out till the last day, if any the touts pester you tell them u will report it to the police, and they will leave you alone sorry to sound so negative , appart from that its a nice place , oh I and dont expect cheep booze it works out the same as here

I know where your coming from as i have been to Marmaris and its the same there, you do get used to it after a while! they are ok, but they do start getting touchy feely with your lass when they get to know you, then you just put a stop to it and they get the message! thanks anyway!

Just got back from our third holiday in a row in Turkey from a place just over the hill from Gumbet,a place called Bitez,we think it is a superb place and will be going back next year.
After a while you get accustomed to the "front men" at the resteraunts and just keep on walking past and ignore them ,you have to be what appears to be rude to get best results.Anyway at least the people working the bars etc. are Turkish ,when you go to Teneriffe they are Scousers and ****ney Chavs trying to sell you shitty English Food and Time Shares.
We love Turkey but everyone has different tastes,we went to Portugal in June and thought it was sh1t.
Earlier this week in Bitez it 49 Degs and was on a boat trip at midnight in Bodrum Harbour with only Trunks on ,you couldn't do that in Spain.
Roman Abramovich was in Bodrum last month so it was obviously ok for him,mind you he would'nt have had noisy air con LOL.
After 6 Effes's you won't be bothered where you are.

I enjoyed Turkey, much better than Spain yes the front men can be a pain but just walk on thats it

Beer is £1 in most places, and the spirits are 7 lira ish £2.50 but you get most places buy one get one free so not bad
