I don't know the guys mentioned well enough to choose at present.
I would like to see them promoting themselves as the person for the job, with a paragraph in their own words as to why they should get the job. (like a normal election).
I would have no problem voting for either Paul or Dave or Dave as I feel you have the marque at heart and all want to improve the profile of the MK2 and put it back where it belongs.
Thing is being in the priviliged position of the committee I get to see the breakdown of the membership by marque of car and the MK2 is top of the shop with the most fully paid up members and this alone shows what level of attention the MK2 should have in the club, not that I am putting down the other old skool cars or the plastic bumper posse that I am currently in.
But the Registrar needs to talk to the owners, Wayne Champion the Mk1 Registrar has really made an effort with the mk1 boys and is slowly begining to address the needs of the owners as they seemed to feel neglected by the club for whatever reason. It was great to see a mk1 display at ND and in that horendous weather as well and a friend of his with a mk2 Mex wanted to go on a mk2 display but he never had any of his phone calls returned by the current Registrar which I thought was very dissappointing when you consider how many Mk2's there are in the club with enthusiastic owners who are also members of the RSOC who are willing to put themselves out only if asked.
Sorry for waffling lads just wanted to vent a little fraustration on this particular issue I am more than willing to vote for who you want for the position as long as you all are behind the candidate

comin from some1 on the top table that says alot i believe, spoke 2 wayne a fair bit at shows lately and really good to see what hes doin for the club, might even join the rsoc myself now
Tim thats exactly what I mean if there are active approachable people who are there to help you then what else could you ask for and what you say about possibly Joining the RSOC is exactly what I mean. Wayne has changed your perception of the situation within the club made you feel welcome and assisted you if you needed advice and that alone is worth its weight in gold IMO

I have just put a tenner on at Ladbrokes for you being an AVO or RSOC Committee member before you are 25 yrs old. You have the makings of a future leader. Great attitude, great dedication, and willingness to learn.
