Well, I've finally gone and bought some Superlites....no tyres!
Tried ordering some Yokahamas from an online dealer...took my oder, but no stock in yet, after 2 weeks..

So - anybody know of a good place to buy a set of Yokos..preferably for delivery to the door..no rip off prices?

    Cheers

      Lee

got 4 7x13s..caps/wheelnuts...16 long bolts...paid £330 brand new. Think I probably could have got them cheaper...but they arrived very quickly, so very happy.

Found a website which seemed to offer good deals on Yokos...but now I find there's no stock expected in for 3 weeks! Bit of a pain really....Don't know why they bother advertising them, if they literally can't come up with the goods!

Anybody know any good sources...don't want to go for the easy option, via ATS/Kwik Fit etc...

        Hi all

Not wanting to hijack this thread but I've got some 7*13 RS 4 spokes which I'll need to put tyres on soon, and I was wondering what size to go for. PLEASE dont reccomend 175/50's as they don't look right to me imo! I was thinking either 215/50's or even to the extreme at the rear, 235/50's ??
What do you guys think?? Advice would be much appreciated
        Cheers

why do you want YOKOS, personally I have tried most brands on my cossies and found Michelin Pilots to be best for all round, fantastic in the wet. Yokos grip but wear to quickly with arse end out.

          Just my opinion.

          Cheers Jason

Want a "quality" brand...car is not massively tuned anyway, so don't think wear will be a great problem...

The other suggestion was to get some Bridgestones.

Found some Yokos elsewhere now...£42 each from Demon Tweeks. The guy on the phone reckoned they wear pretty well..he said he has a set on a 306-6..reckons he drives quickly, and has had 10,000 miles out of the front set (??).

Anyway, as I'm probably only doing 2000 miles a year these days, hopefully they'll last a little while.

              Thanks for the comments....

                Dazzle - you hi-jacker

If you are staying with standard arches (I thought you were) then 215/50x13 or 235/40 x 13 wont fit under the metal work on the rear - unless you shorten the axle, or fit an anglia axle.

I had 205/60 x 13's on 7x13 RS alloys on my Harrier, and they rubbed the rear arches, especailly the o/s when it had a full tank of juice.

I took an air saw to the arches and cut them right back in the end, the last time it went out it had 185/60 x 13 Ao32-r Yokos on it (from Demon Tweeks btw) but these were on Gp1 6" rims.

You are right about the "look" of 175/50x13's here's some on a Harrier I saw at the Essex local group show - on 7.5" rims
                Cheers Rob.

i have 185's on my 7"ers, and there is no rubbing, ( except my loins when i look at them cos they're lush) and they dont look stretched onto the rim either........

                    Hi ya Rob mate

Yes, you were right, I am keeping standard arches on it :thumbleft: And I also intened to fit an atlas axle so I will get it measured up so I can fit the 7's with either the 215's or the 235's !! I think the 235's will be too big though
Need to get some when I get home and check them out fitted!!
                    Cheers
