Been offered a cheap beach getaway break in a new apartment but its in Llanelli.

Whats it like round there? Never heard of it.

its over here, not up there..........


Lllanelli is very nice,about three / four hours from warrington area, a few years ago the millenium trail was opened, lots of wildlife / wild birds.
across the estuary is the gower peninsula, absolutely lovely place with fantastic beaches, whilst nearer is Pembrey country park, lots of green wild parkland and great beaches,
just a few miles away is pembrey race circuit, and about 15 miles to the East is Swansea, good for shops restaurants etc, likewise, approx 15 miles to the West is carmarthen, big market town and very busy.

dont know what you are after neil, i.e sun sand, sea etc but most things are a reasonably short drive away,

try the tourist board site, usually very helpfull,

Just avoid the Asda car park after about 8pm and you should be fine, it's full of Polish tarts and their well dodgy looking pimps.....seriously!!

As GJ said, there's loads to do and see in and around the Llanelli area...what time of year are you planning on visiting?

booked it, will be visiting the holy briefcase soon £275 for 5 nights in the summer holidays, bargain!

have to tell the missus i'm going shopping at asda at night and for her to give me a few quid for some extras

My folks live in Llanelli, so I go there at least once a year lol Looks nice out by the sea/sand.. not sure about nightlife tho..

As GJ says Swansea is nearby, good for shopping/bars etc.
