For once I can give you some proper ,correct and true information about this car as I know it or should say knew it very well.
The twin cam was bought by a local farmer John Stephenson who sold it to his cousin Mike Stephenson who had a BDA in it .It is Mike who I service for and help prepare his car ( currently the ex Prepfab Warrior )
Mike wrote off the MK1 on the Crystal Stages (I think ) in the early 1990's
and reshelled it into the mk2 shell that was built for him by Roy (Ralloy)
When Banner started Rallying again (he had sold "Ethel" a few years earlier) he bought "Elsie" off Mike.
This is the car that he sold last year £35000 as he has the new Duratech car again built by Roy that he used for the first time on the Jim Clark 2007
I have had the pleasure of driving and been driven in the car "Elsie "by both Mike and Banner (tanner dustbin lid springs to mind ) LOL
Cheers
Mark

I wish
Look in Resto Section Page 3 Project RAC 2007 and you will see what I mean
I have another shell a good one but I the finances won't stretch to £7k for a Ralloy prep.
One day maybe if the numbers come up LOL
