16 in 1988 £400 quids worth of shagged Mk2 Mexico bought from a YTS instructor on the scheme I was on at the time for £20 a week , totally rebuilt it for when I was 17, wrote it off 2nd day on the road bought it back from insurance company, that time it lasted 2 weeks bought it back again, it then gave me 5 yrs of "happy" motoring

PKH 830R the guy I sold it too put it straight in his garage and it still sits there too this day but he wont sell it back to me "as he's going to do it one day"

Sunset Red Mexico - LWA 63K aged 20 in 1978, followed 12 months later by Modena Green Mexico JWG 700P. The red Mex cost £69 to insure for a 20 year old in a Group 5 car (there were only 7 groups then).........if only it was like that today

t boned a mazda one frosty morning insurance through the roof 1.3 popular the following year, stripped it painted it white,lowered 2" all round, cibies, 1.6 pushrod on 40s (1.3 insurance as you do)


Had a number of verous sports etc until I got another RS a few years later reg MOI 2000 belived to be in southern Ireland and painted black.
