well heres a funny storey, after travelling with my faithfull sidekick aka mr bda dave "the yid" robinson for over 1000 miles the length of our great nation looking for a mk2 mex i found one about 35 miles from me.
Shes a local car whose had 3 owners in her life and had a aborted resto about 6 years ago.
she was painted and then left in garden but believe it or not just needs a door sorting and a few bits here and there.
Mint inners wings and chassis - new wings fitted at resto, oringinal floors and is good in all the right places.
So it will me good by to my mk1 mex and then into the garage with her and on with the resto.
