I caught up with the guy parked next to you in the arched Mex with the V8...... he went round every round-a-bout twice, between Combe and the M4..... VERY SIDEWAYS!!!! Awesome.... raised a few eyebrows from the locals though!!
Just got home after doing 600 miles in the Mex this weekend!!...... I'm knackered!!!

Let's not take sides over something not witnessed first hand. I have no idea whether anything warranting such action took place at CC (or on a nearby roundabout). Equally it's not clear if this was about a complaint by CC Circuit or by the (sometimes a bit strange it seems) RSOC.
What I am well aware of is the thin thread by which the use of venues for motorsport (and trackdays/displays, in case anyone thinks real motorsport is only for the too rich) hangs. CC has a big big problem with locals (not in Castle Combe village but in Yatton). It currently runs club level sprints, to aid the sport, when it could be using the venue for better-paying cr*p like car boot sales. They therefore need to be treated with kid gloves on at all times. What ever the rights or wrongs of a situation that has to come first.
We all take delight in recounting things we did years ago on the road that were a bit iffy. What anyone did the other day is a bit different. Problem is, the general public are capable of reading a lot of forums like this. One particular little malicious sh*t of a resident has effectively stopped all road rallying in Kent by reading current rally forums and then quoting them out of context to the media and authorities.
So please have a care. The future is sometimes in the hands of your current on line comments. It would help to find out who complained and "talk them down" from making an issue of it with a bit of an apologetic tone. Knowing Combe, I can see how wet grass (2 months rain) could be damaged and impact on the next event held there. Can I suggest this entire thread is deleted?
