                Dave I know the RS1800 road cars are documented & chassis numbers are one of the main ways of knowing if it's a proper road car.

                How do you determine what makes a genuine RS1800 Rally car.

                  the works cars would have 69---- high numbered chassis stampings

                  as for the other cars seen with the "log booked" RS1800 issued this again would be difficult to put in a catergory as they were all built by and for the individual customer, as i have stated before some 400 cars are out there with either RS1800 or escort RS mainly due to homologation reasons.

                  conclusion is that The Works cars are really the only RS1800 rally cars
