anyway, Merthyr tydfil has quite a large Mormon community and guess who often visits town seeking out his forefathers! Yep, most of the osmonds pop in to the local mormon church when in the UK.
anyway, Donny is performing in the park a matter of a couple hundred feet from my front door (Cyfartha park, Taff and co will know of it)
The "gig" is on Saturday evening, and the soundcheck is saturday morning,
if anyone on here is attending, there are road closure orders and also you have to park miles away and get the shuttle bus in, pm me for a free parking spot virtually within earshot of the gig.
just looked out and already the fortysomething mum's are waiting to get a glimpse, he's due mid morning for the soundcheck, even a local road closure has been enforced for tonight surrounding the park,

Donny Osmond fans due for a soaking 30/6/2007
Severe weather warnings were issued for Wales by the Met Office today.
Fifteen thousand fans expected at an open air Donny Osmond homecoming gig at Merthyr have been warned to expect heavy weather.
BBC Wales meteorologist Derek Brockway said 50mm of rain could fall in places.
Outbreaks of heavy rain will spread across much of Wales today with totals reaching 25 mm to 35 mm in places through the period especially over the high ground.
Donny performs at Cyfarthfa Castle in Merthyr Tydfil tonight from 9pm.
The public are advised to take extra and refer to the latest Environment Agency Floodline and 'Flood Warnings in force,' and to the refer to 'Traffic Wales' for further advice on road conditions.

Concert organiser Emyr Afan dismissed any fears that the performance would be cancelled and said they were prepared for any bad weather, although fans should wear something waterproof and bring a weatherproof sheet to sit on.
