In this months practical classics magazine, there is a buyers guide for a lotus sunbeam,it tells you everything you need to know, one thing it does say, engine costs can be very expensive.

here are some figures for the prices it says in the mag.

      Rough-£3500

      Average-£5500

      Mint- up to £9000

stunning cars,i hope it's the right one for you, good luck

Also it says the main rust spots are.

        sills
        rear wheel arches
        rear quarter panels
        front wings
        windscreen surround
        spare wheel well

original panels are very hard to source, but repro panels are generally available some more info.

Used to have one. Great cars but like said watch for the Rot as can be everywhere like an Escort. Tailgate's and boot floor can be bad. Mechanicals are usually bomb proof if looked after properly. Same as all old cars really. Find the best one you can possibly afford.
