it was made for Henry Ford (the whatever) when he was over here for a time - a very very special build indeed - bronze paint, cream leather seats AND the bloody thing is automatic too - only for the Yanks eh ?

whys that m8, what i maybe should have said was not a mk2(cause the post was about mk2's) but theres a special build mk1 rs2000 big wing in marine blue down this way owned by a good friend of mine
Worked on a customers of ours a few times, stripped the Recaros, as the captive nuts went a wandering in the bases, never heard of that one before
Also we did a complete front end (like Dave's) on a '80 terracotta RS which years later I wanted to buy, mind you in was in a worse state than when I first saw it the bloke wanted 2K for it 12 years ago, when you could get a real goodun for that sort of money, so I left it.
The 2 Midnight Blue cars are from the Mansfield area and I was talking to them both at the Wonderland show. Invited them onto the stand at AVO Day. Both great cars and hoping to see a lot more of them in the future.
