just sounds dear for a no make pc, you can get a hell of a lot from dell for £1200.

If I were you i'd get them to write down the FULL spec inc cpu speeds, memory sizes and speeds, motherboard make/manufacturer/model and post it on a site like www.overclockers.co.uk to get an expert opinion of what you are getting for your money and if the components will work well together, people on this site build pcs every day and keep up with latest fads.

£1200 at dell would go a long way, and thats what i'd buy in the first place. You could of got something kick ass from dell outlet (scratched case) for a fraction of that and thats where I get my pc's from.

At £1200 you are well into Pro-Pc terratory

My local independent PC shop for £1200 would give u a free blow job and a top-line PC for that kind of money

Don't touch Vista yet awhile, still way too unstable and crashes quite regularly.

The spec of the pc sounds very good, but do you really need something that could launch and fly the Battlestar Galactica?

The price of pc sounds ****in horrendous, been said before but find out what Dell will do you but make sure you ask for XP. I've heard the gremlins with Vista aren't supposed to be ironed out until next year.

Am a little worried about Vista as we couldn't get it to load properly today (Using lap top at mo) All the components are top quality Asus motherboard, Hitatchi DVD writers, Creative soundcard, 4 gig DDR memory. Sata Hard drives

Basically gone for the big spec as my old PC cost the same 6 years ago and has been great. Don't want it to get outdated quickly. Use it for shit loads of music, Have 900 CD's on it so far and more every day, Do lots of DVD writing and downloading. Converting video to DVD which was a pain on my old PC as kept missing frames due to not keeping up with the frame rate. No Gaming as I really get bored quickly with them so gone for a lesser video card but still a good one.
