He turned up as a visitor to the show

I saw that he was being directed to the public car park

Asked the marshall to send him over to our stand which is where he parked instead

Ahh, I wanted to know where his number plates had come from. The font name is Hi-Line and I cant find anyone who does them anymore. My local parts place used to do them but are now not there.

Its quite a modern font, which is subtle and has a 5 that looks like an S.

      Anyone know?

Signum used to be the supplier for the "High line" font.

Serck services also used to do this font, it was known back in the 80's as "Computer"

I have recently enquired with Serck about pressed aluminium plates (They are now an arm of the giant Partco empire, and re-named Serck Intertruck and they no longer do plates other that the modern smaller font.

Tippers vintage plates in Southend on Sea may be able to help you, I know they still do pressed aluminium, but be warned, they charge £60 a pair for them
          Cheers Rob.

Had some made ages ago as the 2 looks like a french a, that was at a renault garage. There was a lot of La GOONERS running this style of plate in London

Luckily I noticed the marshall sending you into the public car park

Told him to send you over as nothing worse than a MKI or MKII Escort all alone and prone in a car park

Thanks guys but like all those classic cars they do need work and at the end of this month old TEX is being taken off the road for a big strip down and rebuild, because the old tin rot has caught up in places. But i do still have another mk2 to run around in it may be a four door but its got a 2lt pinto and its an escort. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS.
