    6000 miles

    Very nice

    BUT

If such a low miler and obviously not used - why has it a wing aerial, door speakers and no radio ?

Has it been rebuilt or stored ?

    Top car though

Used to be owned by John McLaughlin , went to Ireland a few years ago , have pictures of it at the first ever National Day at Donington Park. Don't think it is a rstored one , always been clean . I still want one !!!!

What a superb car a real credit to the owner, what sort of value would be put on an example like that these days? cheers Garth.

bit of a waste sqirreling it away like that!! its ok if you had a few of them and you could keep one for best! id get pi$$ed of if i couldnt drive my car for fear of putting miles on it and getting it dirty. utter waste if you ask me, i'd be more impressed if it looked like that with 120,000 miles on it. i still havnt got my head round the fact that people enter new cars for concours competitions, just coz they have spent £500 on a pot of top polish that they have to keep in the fridge.....................berks!

It has been stored not restored, and is still owned by a lad from northern Ireland. He trailered it over on the ferry this morning.

Have to agree with Ders - saw this car today & it was awesome!!! Owner was a top bloke too!

The radio had been removed for some reason Dave - the fitting bracket was still in place under the centre console - definately unrestored in my opinion.
Took my car today with 18'963 miles from new only to find it was the third lowest mileage mk2 there: DAJ - Gavin's Venetion Red base model showing 15K & this car with 6.5K! amazing

Seen this car a few times - very very nice.

                            History I believe is

Bought new by a guy who then went to the Falklands and unfortunately did not make it back. Car sat in garage for a long time with next to no mileage before being sold on.

Obviously doesn't get the pleasure out of what it was built for. Nice to see them but a total waste IMO.
