    does anyone know how i go about getting my car's history from the dvla , i know it costs a fiver , an address or form to fill in????? bin on the phone to them for ages today with no answer just the computer , got through to the Pope though and his resto project is going well , Graham

    it has now slightly changed m8, used to be a £5 and a covering letter, but i did the same with the 16i and it got returned with the new form you have to fill in.
    It looks like you can also ask for info on cars that you dont own , they do ask you why you want the info, there is section asking if you not the owner have you been involved with an accident of the car/bike etc.
    I think its all to do with the data protection act and its takes longer to get back now - mine took nearly a month, use to be a week or two.
    sorry cant remeber the name of the form but the post office should have it or i think you can download it from there website.

      Here you go my little beige buddy.. Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, Longview Road, Swansea, SA99 1AJ, as Vinny said, mine took about 5-6 weeks, nice to have it though

          tried to download the form my computer will not do it can anyone help , its a V888 , try it see if you can download it and mail it to me please , thankyou
