  • nosecone rebuild !

when i bought my car a few months ago someone along the line had fitted a late nosecone to it, no idea why as it is still on the original wings, slam panel and valance so dont think it was due to an accident, maybe an early attempt at making it look newer when the oval ones came out,

anyway this was bugging me as I'm a "bit" picky but after looking for an early good condition nosecone for a while I gave up trying to find one and as Mr H had a really nasty trashed one knocking around and mine was mint I hatched a cunning plan to cut the middle out of mine and swop the centre sections,

    car before

    early nosecone suitably hacked up

    the result

I'm chuffed to bits with it the bodyshop done a top job (think they thought I was a bit strange to go to all that trouble for a badge) but it's perfect they didnt disturb the yellow paint, and you cant see the joins from the inside or out

    next job, rolltops
    Cheers Glyn
