All last summer I was adding about 10 litres of veg oil from lidl to about 30 litres of diesel to my van. It ran great, seemed quieter and more power and more mpg. Its a 04 renault trafic

Been thinking about this myself I have a FocusTDCI sport and Ford dont recommend it in any way shape or form !! Something to do with the rollers in the hp pump of common rail diesels, Dont know about good old style pump diesels tho,We had a customer that ran a old pug 405 on cooking oil for years and had no trouble at all, Every year I mot,d it flew thru the smoke test, Did smell a bit like the local chippy tho
Be keen to hear some reports on the bio,Give it a shot Dave

Reason I ask is a supplier has opened 1/2 mile away from my unit

Fuel filters are all I can see as "extra"

Truck takes 100 litres a fill

Most websites say to start off with a 60% Diesel 40% bio mix to start

then work upto B100 (100% Bio)

Bio is thicker and draws all the crap out of the system - therefore the need for filters

Apparently filter change is then advised every year instead of every 2 years
