  • Wot a Superb Result Today

After 500 miles running-in of car I took SKC for a rolling road session at :-

    Hi-Tech Motorsport
    Cradley Heath
    Westmidlands
    01384 561777.

Last time 2 years ago I managed 157bhp

This time after rebuild just look at the results - SUPERB !!!!!!!!!!!

And the drive back to work was fun as well !!

    175bhp @ 6166rpm

          Rs 2000 custom.

Did they play with cam timing ?

Peak torque and power seem close together??

What gear was printed run done in???

Hmmm, yes, I would have thought it would be necessary.... but can't make it out from the fotos.

                  Wot's the answer, Dave?

Is the 175bhp the 'corrected' figure of flywheel bhp (i.e. measured at wheels and then standard factors applied for axle and gearbox to deduce the flywheel bhp) or is it the actual figure at the road wheels?

Anyway, it's good whatever it is!

I set cam timing when I rebuilt engine - not altered whilst being RR'd

I wasnt there when RR took place but assume 3rd or 4th for power run (4 speed rocket box fitted)

                      Vernier is fitted

2.2 engine build - I'll try anything once - lol lol lol

175bhp is more than likely a corrected figure as 175 at wheels would equate to nr 200 + at fly and even I am not that optimistic !!

Just booked myself on track for Donnington on Sunday 23rd May
Will let you know how I get on.

Free to spectate and walk the pits so if you want to come along I am sure there will be plenty to see.
