      Been a RSOC member for many years, and will contiune to do so. But never required anything to be remade as yet?

      I honestly dont have a list. Not being much of a concourse person anyway I can make do with whats out there or replace broken bits with newer uprated parts. I really cant think of anything that I need that is not available to keep my cars on the road? Or at least parts that are already reproduced.

      From the lists above you can already buy new...

      Black wheel nuts
      Gutter trim
      Glass
      Bumpers
      Cloth
      Door rubbers
      Fans
      Relays
      Just about every body panel
      Washer bottles
      Mud flaps
      Water hoses
      Carpet
      Gearbox mounts
      Steering boss
      Straps
      Spoilers
      Keys
      Clips
      Center Caps
      Fuel lines
      Lamp brackets
      Exhausts....

      I could go on but you get my point. Why not just fit newer parts when your old ones break??

      I suppose rear parcel shelf would be handy as these can break down over time. But I have three Mk1 spares and an aluminium one in the Mk2 so I am sorted. Greedy get!

      I guess I will never be a bufty then? A tart yeah, but cant be arsed with fitting all the "correct" parts. I just like things to look nice and also go well.

      Did I just throw a spanner into the works??

                    i think key blanks would be a great idea (eddies idea) and not difficult either.

                    difficult for me to say as i dont own a mk2 but i think all of the above would benifit you guys.

                    it may be an idea to speak to kel some more to see what else hes looking into so to pull resources and share best practices etc - may stop you running around in circles or speaking to the same supplier etc.

                    theres aguy who posts in the 16i forum on the rsoc site who goes by the name of tricky - hes very into to getting bits re-done and may be of some help to you, with ideas or suppliers etc

                    good luck though lads - great idea, this is just what the scene needs and may stop people being put off owning an older ford when they look at some of the prices on ebay etc.

                            Top Ten Parts to be remanufactured

                            I am one of the ever increasing owners that wants to restore and keep his car as dear old Ford built it, which means a headache finding new oe parts.

                            For me, unless someone can remanufacture them to a quality equal to Ford, this will be a total waste of time and money. So many remanufactured parts I have seen, let themselves down by using cheap quality materials that break, perish or don’t fit properly. What bugs me is that these companies are almost there with their parts, they have done all the work and for the cost of little bit more research and care, they fail on quality and detail….. this for many will lose them the sale.

                            Perhaps some of these companies that are already tooled up to make some of these parts, could be approached and leaned on to improve what they already have, this would save time and money finding an alternative manufacturer.

                            This is my top ten of parts to be remanufactured:
                            • All materials to replace a seat cover:
                            Beta Cloth, Soft Leathercloth, Piping, or Complete Seat Covers;
                            • Door interior “Custom” trim panels;
                            • Roof Channel mouldings;
                            • Bulkhead Sound Proofing for engine compartment;
                            • Door Weather Seals;
                            • Door Weather Strips;
                            • 2 Piece Centre Console;
                            • RS Cast Exhaust Manifold;
                            • Exhaust Downpipe;
                            • Vinylroof trim “L” shaped ones.

                            RS2000EXPRESS
                            RS Mk2 Club 099
