  • anyone work for BT on here...?

i'm having probs with my phone line
it don't want to work with a ADSL wireless router
every time i try to use it my speed goes so bad it takes
15 mins to get my home page up
and sometimes it don't even come up...?
but when i go back to a ADSL speedtouch modem on the wire
    it's ok
    any help please...?
this is the 2nd item i have tried aswell the first was a BT home hub

Are you on AOL? If you are you have to go into your wireless routers settings and make sure the mtu size is below 1400, otherwise it does the symptoms that you are saying

check your mtu on your router, I think most are 1500 default, bt suggest mtu of 1458 http://www.broadbandstuff.co.uk/arti...articles_id=87

I had problems with mine, they updated my connection (Orange) should have gave me more speed but mine would not work too,
I spent 2 nights on the phone no joy,
went back to basics plug the router direct into the connection were it came into the house and it worked fine, so it was down to the phone extension cable.
                His yours on extension cable?

it takes them a long time to do a small amount of houses
where i live there is only 39 houses down a country lane
i don't think it will be worth them doing it down here
                              as there's not enough ppl
