i think it all goes back to a debate about how the chassis number are stamped in the floor,up or down,whats real and whats not, but ive been told that ford stamped them both ways because they had unrealiable stampin machines

The original post was class , my guess , and do not quote me on this , is 'the letter' was factory proof on the up/down VIN stamping debate , it went to an RSOC commitee meeting and vanished.
