i understand where your coming from brian, but the woman in question dont look big or very strong.....ive seen some bad cat fights (bitch fights) with nasty out comes & i agress women are very under rated when it comes to fighting

Don't know the details of this incident, but to arrest one aggressive violent person that is drunk with only one officer will not happen easily and is frankly dangerous to the arresting officer and the person being arrested. 3 officers will however bring a much quicker and safer arrest. I would imagine that if the woman had alowed her arm to be placed in cuffs, there would have been no need for any force on the arm (assuming that is where she was hit).
Drunk people lose all inhibitions and are a hell of a lot stronger than if they were sober.
Nights in the town centre are not pleasent places when drunk violent people are about and need to be dealt with effectively by the police for the safety of veryone else that may wnader into there path. some times force is required.
