Aaron... there are guys that have been storing this stuff for years.
You start off by just keeping the odd few mint rare bits, then your start collecting NOS stuff. You start by filling the loft & before you now it you have double car garages full of it & nowhere for a car.
I guess a few guys are just cashing in on the price boom.
