    Calling all AOL users

I called AOL tonight to ask for my MAC code purely to see what they'd offer me to stay with them.

They asked a couple of standard questions like "Why are you wanting to leave.. aren't you happy with our service?" To which the secret answer is "I am happy with the service but competitors are offering a better deal" They will immediately tell you that they are now operating a new pricing scheme (which has not been advertised!).

I am on AOL Platinum and for the price of a 10 minutes phone call saved £12 a month on my broadband bill plus they gave me a free month

    Make that call.

    0870 320 2020

    for UK users. "

Ask them for the MAC code because you wish to transfer to another ISP and make sure you say you are happy but a competitor is offering the better deal. Word for word. When they ask you which ISP you are moving to tell them Sky They should offer you the cheaper price.
This isn't a joke or a scam they realy did reduce my subscription by 12 pounds a month.

    Good luck
    Phil.

Nice one, just called them, I was on the AOL Platinum service, I asked for my MAC address saying I was fairly happy with the service just felt the price wasnt competitive anymore.

They offered me up to 8mb service for £9.99 or with new wireless router for £14.99.
Now have 8mb for £9.99 a month with AOL
