Im still using windows 98 on a system thats now 8 years old

Never even got around to running XP never mind vista


Hopfully wiil get a new set up this year as im now noticing how crap my system is getting

I'd be very very very very careful about buying Vista, for instance images or content (Audio content etc) can be detected and Vista stops you using it, etc and you can't stop it.

Not only that but XP is full of sh.. that you don't need, that's why a minimum of 512MB memory is needed to make it run. Vista has even more rubbish, not had my hands on it yet but, until it becomes impossible to use XP (10 years time) I'd stick with XP.

Buy yourself a cheap XP from the Bay.
You don't need the new software, just cause its new. Don't forget XP still has patches, what do you think Vista will be like, full of security problems you can bet

The media centre on Vista is miles better on vista than XP, great for you guys with Xbox360's
