so you rekon its still on the road as the guy reckons it was last taxed in 2003

Guys,

When the DVLA search says date of liability it means when it next needs Road Tax or a new SORN declaration.

The fact the vehicle status, near the bottom, says "SORN Not Due" means it's currently SORNed and the vendor is correct.

If you want to double check, try it on your own taxed car to see what the vehicle status shows up as.
