apparently its worth around £60,000 , can anyone shed any light on it , famous monty carlo car apparently, got my audi mot'd today and it was in the workshop

The first Monte Carlo rally the works car did was in 1969
The cars were
AVX 579G Did not finish
BEV 781G Came 32nd
BEV 782G Came 4th

Looks like it's been for sale for a while though.
I know there is a very famous Ex Works Twin Cam for sale for 15K less than that.
What did the guy have to say about it. I know some cars ran with Ford backed teams.
But I don't know to an F reg works Twin Cam doing the Monte

the guy said that the owner had paid around £60k for the car , he has since blown the engine which is being rebuilt now, not sure where , and the bodywork needed some work doing after a little ding, said it was a famous 1968 winning car , mentioned mote carlo but could not be sure , so i thought i'd try and find out a little

It could quite possibly have won the 1968 Monte or the 1969 for that.
Just know that Fords first rally with a Twin Cam was the 1968 San Remo & that was in March. The Monte is run in January.

I would be interested to know more myself.

I'll see what I can find out.
