    My insurance was accepted @ £131 fully comp, declared as a group 4 car.
    Apparently the problems occur if you deviate from the original engine etc.. i am running a 2.1 pinto (abeit high spec) but this is not a problem as it was the Ford fitment.
    This also applies to the rally spec as the majority of parts were available as Ford optional extras through the dealers.

      AON are good for insurance, but mine went up by a fiver this year.

      £117 agreed value, unlimited miles. (was told that because the car was over 20years old i didn't need to restrict the mileage to 3k and it wouldn't affect the premium) sin2


      I'd rather push a Ford than drive a V**X***L

          Dominion came back with a renewal of £113 with £100 excess.

            I tried Chris for this and got £181 thats on a value of £4250 and 3000 miles
            ?

            I think they have loaded up abit for N Ireland and the 2.1 with FR33 cam,four branch

            but still not bad

              I have been with AON for a few years now...MK1 RS2000, MK2 RS2000 and MK1 3000E Capri with my mate as names driver. £214.60...no mileage limit!!!
