Not just that but whenever I've wanted to flog something I can never get sensible money for it, whilst being forced to pay often grudgingly more than I think stuff's worth and the seller treating me like he's doing me a favour

I was tinkering with my old java green escort rs2000 when a screwdriver pierced my skin, thought nothing of it and carried on with life in general.
3 days later my knuckle started to be sore, thought nothing of it.
4 days later my finger had swelled right up.
a few more days later I am in A&E with a massive finger with what looks like a Rolo abcess on it.
They operated under local aenesthetic to remove the infection and the Dr's said I NEARLY LOST MY FINGER !!! - one more day and it was cutoff time.
Nutty Professor

I remember learning myself to weld... 20 odd years ago (time fcukin flies)
Under a Mk2 with an old arc welder & head sheild.
Took the head sheild off as it was awkward to see what I was doing
Learnt that melting underseal burns & sticks to your skin
Stray sparks & molten weld crackle & pop as they enter your ears.
If that wasn't enough when you think you've had a really bad day & been on a steep learning curve.
You then realise without the head sheild you wake up at 2am with a bad case of sunburn & arc eye that feels like someone has thrown sand in your eyes.
A trip to the eye infirmary for some anestetic eye drops & some cream learns you very quickly.Mark....

When he finally arrived at my house to collect the wing we got talking and he said he was a medium.
(I said I was extra large - lol)
I said straight away
"Oh you knew I have been trying to contact you to collect this wing then ?"

1.Ever put the engine and gearbox back together, not putting in the small dowels in the bellhousing? I stuffed a new clutch in no time, so I did the clutch change twice in 2 days. Apparently the dowels keep the engine/gearbox from twisting.
2. I chased a Mazda RX3 through the back streets at night not far from here and he knew them better than me. Over the small hill to find a 'T' junction at about 80kph, hit the brakes and noticed a nice wide driveway ahead. Just missed the entrance, banged the front wheel against the kerb. Got out expecting the wheel to be folded under the car, looks ok, kept driving. Good got away with that one. Next day, the wheel is now sitting about 1 inch further back than it should be. Result: 1 bent track control arm. Still got the trophy!
