£20, what can that buy you?

Last week I bought a N Reg Rover 100 for £20, has 6 months Tax & MOT.
Done a little bit of work on her as it was overheating and touch wood it seems to be running fine and no overheating so will give the RS a rest for a while and use this to get to and from work.
Will still use the RS at least once a week for that bit of sideways fun.

Thats a coincidence !!! A regular customer of ours asked me to have a quick look over Rover 75 today before I did a full mot on it because hes just had it given , Well It had the crap 1800 auto lump in it ,110k on the clock , w reg basic model and worst color combo grandad beige/brown and for good measure its starting with usual rover head gasket trouble After all of 2 mins on ramp its all over for the 75 Guy thanks me gives me a tenner to pop out the head unit then passed me the keys for my trouble,So down to the scrappy at lunch to weigh it in, Big Q at weigh bridge due to sky high price of scrap. gippo behind offers me £20 for tow bar off it!!!! Told him yes if he takes it off himself ! Said he dosent have time and offers me £40 if i take it off for him, 1/2 hour later Im back at scrappy,no Q now and got £90 for the 75 RESULT After 24years in the trade Im starting to like Rovers
