  • MOT test result!

Right, put the car in today and as it is an old car it failed on the following....
    1. NS rear lamp.
    2. OS head aim low and poor pattern (does this mean new lamp unit?)
    3. NS front roll bar bracket broken bolt. (NS front TCA bush worn).
    4. Front brake flex rub on strut bracket.
    5. Handbrake low performance.
    6. NS and OS seat backs loose.
    7. OS front seat excessive play.
    8. Windscreen blade.
    9. Fuel pipe at rear not secure.

So all in all not too bad really!

Just have to get round to getting the stuff done now, only real problem will be the handbrake as is discs at rear so may be a buggered cossie caliper, but will see. Also gives me an excuse to get braided hoses!

Just thought you should all know

No problem with my MOT this morning, then decided to spend the sunny afternoon fitting poly bushes to the front end.

What a god awful job. I've got muscles like Schwarzenegger now from putting it back together !!!! :compress:

Headlamp might not necessarily need replaced, It might just have condensation in it which if it isn't a sealed beam you can blow out with an airline and Hey Presto good as new!

Think it was just an overly fussy tester! (or should that be toss$$)

So have ordered some new parts anyway..such as poly bushes all round which I was going to do eventually.

Got a mate of mine coming to give me a hand soon, once all this is done then going to get some new wheels, get the 2 new doors and bonnet put on and painted, then time to go and write it off!!!!
