Yeah Dave she was a bit of a mess when I got her! Do you know when the arches were put on? one of my 1986 Rallye news has a photo of it un arched...

lovelly blue stripe you have there sir!! probably my favourite road going RS i have ever seen. and yes they should have all left the factory with arches imo.
