Theres a mallard cosworth around here with the deleted rear spoiler from new. Its a stunning car tbh

My old manager had a small turbo ash black Escort Cossie with the delete aeropack, it makes the car look totally different. You do not see many Escort Cossie’s with out the upper spoiler because it was a chargeable optional extra to remove it.

I do think they look better with out it. I would remove mine but it would leave fixing holes in the tail gate and the lower spoiler were the centre support meets.

I read somewhere that the upper spoiler is only for cross wind stability and reduces top speed by 10 mph; it is only the lower spoiler that produces down force.

it would be nice to see an escort with modern tech bolted on, if ever i won the lottery, i,d love to build a mk2 with a Cossie engine in each end , four wheel steer and drive, paddle shift etc etc etc break the 1000 bhp, ah well, back to my beige 110 bhp car

Agreed neil! I drove an evo7 brand spanker.Fantastic road car,just needed RS focus wrapped around it! F-in horrid interior, kept asking passenger where she wanted to go then took the longest root . Wasted two evos on oulton park in my cossie but don't know how good drivers were,plus it was dry! Bet they had a more comfy drive home!Only prob is what you gonna loose in the 12/18 mths you keep it when the next six models come out? Theyre gonna end up like the Now thats what i call music records!

always wanted an evo til i had a go against a 6 gsr round donnington in my cav 4x4 turbo and beat it (not standard i admit)(and he was trying!) kind of spoiled the dream i had of owning one.
has anyone else noticed you have cars you dream of going in/owning and then one day you get to go in one or race one and its a real let down...always dreamed of owning a ferrari and got to go in a 348..quite slow and crap gearbox and full of fiat bits...spend all that cash and its like sitting in a kit car.
that evo does look nice tho.must have had a hard life to have a new box at that milage tho?
