this is true, some resto work ive seen before some people have had axle stands in certain positions and when fitting doors etc they dont fit cos the engine weight on the over hang from the axle stand postion has flexed the shell. in other words get the stands as near to the weight of the egine as possOriginally posted by rallyslag View Posttry it b4 u take the **** lee,with the weight off the struts the inner wings will move out just enough 2 line up the holes

ok, mebbe not a whole inch, but more than i'm willing to force it, thats for sure. as i put in a previous post, i would no doubt be inviting stress cracks within a 1000 miles if i got that lot bolted up.Originally posted by rallyslag View Postbut it doesnt look like its that far out,1/2 inch yea but not an inch

am not sayin force any thing,just jack the front up normally on the x member and wit the weight of the legs and wheels will move the inner wings out and the strut brace will stop any movment once the front is back on the ground, proberly because they are orginal inner wing they have moved more than if they had been replaced
