Well I have gone and booked my ferry April 4-10th, I'm off to drive the Nurburgring. 11hrs on a boat, whos idea was travelling from ****in Hull?



Going to get Gran Turismo 4 on later to have a butchers.

Any pointers from Ring Veterans?

Hi,

where are you staying Topaz?
The Gran Turismo 4 game is excellent, but it doesn't give you an idea of the height differences there are in the 14 mile circuit nor the dirt/oil/bikers that make the tarmac very slippery.
And watch out for those buses travelling at 25 mph whilst coming over that blind brow or bent ...

Get your first laps on the circuit during the week, when it's not that busy.
Make a note of the emergency telephone number for if and when you have the barriers or sandtraps.

i dunno, my mates booked the accomodation, cheers for the advice. We are there for quite a few days.

I fancy a go in the 'Ring Taxi' M5, its 180 euro but i dont know if thats each person or per lap.

deffo not the mex, will be a cossie of some sorts, possible in the 500 although i dont want to blow it up or smash it. might get a cheap but strong saff.

Dingy's first drive on the Ring, september last year.
Track was wet, just a few cars been on that day, believe his words after the first lap were: "f**k*ng hell" ...

dont mind hull but 11hrs on a north sea ferry doesnt sound fun to me
