Old skool / New skool divide in the RSOC

I think i must have missed something i have only been a member since 99 so not long compared to a lot of folk i would imagine but in that time i have not been aware of any divide.

I was active in concourse for 5 years with the MK2 and was never aware of any divide and i recieved nothing but help and encouragment from members of our regional group, certainly no divide there, even when the old skool numbers had dipped to a couple, mind i did have to point out it could be a bit of a thought setting out on a 400 mile round trip on a motorway in a modded rs2.

I have now sold the Mk2 and got a 3 door as some of you will know but i still cant see the divide from this side of the fence either.

I think the internet has a lot to do with this percieved divide as it can be a bit like chinese whispers thing grow arms and legs stories come out bit by bit and the facts can often get left behind.

The Old Skool scene is huge just now as everyone on here knows so why would the RSOC want to divide themselves from a big part of the marques heritage.

If someone can explain the divide to me i would be most gratefull as i wouldnt like to miss out on anything. Anyway thats just my thoughts will have to go now and check my heads not somewhere it shouldnt be

Maybe old skool want to be divided, I do not know. Plenty people around here not happy with the way things are being run and if something is not done soon then god only knows what will happen.
