have considered NZ and Oz. Been to both and loved it (SpeciallyNZ) We were going to do it last year but parent health has stopped us.

Grass greener????? Sometimes. When I used to go on tour for 5 months at a time the first2 or 3 were ace but it usually started to grind after that. After long tours I couldn't wait to get home but after a short tour I wanted to stay out and would get depressed upon arrival in this shit country!!!!!

Come to conclusion now that even though I moan about this country every day about all the shite things that go on, I still love it really.

i agree this country is going to the dogs, to many imigrants and free loaders, a police force that cant police due to stupid european laws and the nanny state.
i work for pratt and whitney and we have a engine plant in nz and am really tempted as the children are young enough, but shes dosernt want to leave her folks, my mum and dad are gone and i hardly see my brothers and sister so theres nothing keeping me here.
i can see it being one of those things that i wished i had done but never

How about Angola, South West Africa then ???

I've a 2 year contract with an oil service company. I was out there for 6 weeks and had to come home early as they refused me a work visa !!!

Just waiting to see if I'll get back, fingers crossed !!! Planning to do the 2 years as the girlfriend has a job down there as well and then see from there what we're going to do !!

Its a country with a lot of poverty but also a lot of wealth too. Its 30 degrees plus at this time of year and will go up to 35+ !! Its back to basics (like 40 or 50 years behind us !!!) but its one hell of an experience !!

Along with the bad bits there are lovely beaches & countryside, great food and cheap beer !!! Some of the beers are as cheap as 20p (euivalent in Kwanza) but good meat etc is bloody expensive !!!

I'll be living in Luanda with a population of 10 million plus !!! Its utter madness, no priority for anyone when you come to a junction, very little traffic lights and roundabouts are just mad !!! The best bit of the day is going to and from work where you sit in your jeep (with your driver obviously) taking in everythibg going on, you can buy ANYTHING from the comfort of the passenger seat of your car !!

I should find out very soon whats happening, if Im going or not but the only problem is that there are so Old Skool Fords out there, could be a bit like going cold turkey !!! AND I'll probably have to sell my Mk1 Mex, Mk1 Twin Cam / Mex rally car and a lot of other bits n pieces !!!

BUT, as they say, NOTHING VENTURED, NOTHING GAINED !!!

Which is why I took the chance when I got it, (the main reason for flogging YFX / Olym Blue RS2 Mk1), it might not be NZ but at least the weather's pretty good over here and I can pop back to blighty in 1 1/2 hours when I feel the need, there's also a lot of very fine countryside here too!
I thought **** it bloody speed cameras, being filmed god knows how often every day etc etc, I thought if I hate it I can always come back.

If you don't do stuff, sometimes you regret it!
