  • i'm gonna f**k it, and get the carbs.....

    going to bite the bullit and get me some 45's, webcon do a kit, inlet man 2x carbs and fitting kits and linkage for £755 + vat + £887 is there any way to get this any cheaper or is that it?? i know i gotta get filters and ram pipes and banjo's and a pressure regulator. all advice greatly recieved

    Lee, cant offer any advice, however, i know they,ll sound the bo--ocks

      go for an ITG filter, with pipercross ram pipes (these have nice wide openings and have lovely smooth round edges for good air flow)
      the length of these depends on the length of your inlet manifold obviously

        Have a word with Peter Lloyd Rallying about prices and if you are looking for someone to install them have a run out to Petersfield and speak to John at Solent Racing - you may have to shout if he has something on the rollers

              I have just orderd a pair of 45's plus High flow manifold together with genuin Weber twin cable linkage for 737 GBP including VAT. All brand new.
              Anthony will also jet to what ever you want.

                cheers chelt rs for the link, now which ones do i need?? DCOE 9, DCOE 152 OR DCOE 152G, i guess not the last one as that is for alpha management. which type of linkage?? one that operates fore/aft or one that operates between the carbs towards the rocker cover, one or two cable operation?
                fuel pressure regulator size reqd? filter king ok?? what size 67mm or 85mm? and trumpets? i need a definitive list of parts reqd, no unnecessary's

                    i also got mine from Anthony at Fastroadcars..top bloke, pleasure to deal with.
                    You are doing the right thing going for 45`s..once you drive it you wont go back

                      Lee. Go for the Weber twin cable set up. Absolute shite of a thing to fit but I have an easy way of doing the cables

                        the webcon kit comes with a single cable linkage, is it best to get two cables then?
                        will order this lot this week so need to get shopping list right

                            You can use either a single cable set up or twin cable. With the twin you need to adapt your accellerator pedal and also drill an extra hole in your bulkhead for the second cable. Supposed to be fool proof but I still managed to snap both mine at the same time.
