can't really compare the mk2 and the esc cos.
I've had a P1, and i'd choose that (and an RB5) over an escort cosworth i think.

Esc Cossies are nice, I did think about getting one for every day use b4 I bought the Alfa, but I needed a car less than 5 years old so that ruled that out. Focus RS was on my list, but no comparasion to my Alfa to be in so didn't get it.
As for selling the MK2, no ****ing chance, always wanted an RS500 though, and of course a RS200 though...

Went to look at about 4 Escos before I bought my Golf. Needed to use it as everyday transport. Just couldn't justify spending 16k+ on a car that I would never dare leave anywhere, Have to use every day, Worry about the engine all the time, 10 years old etc, etc. Would have loved one but glad I went for the Golf in the end.
